Who is responsible

Plumb-Tech operates CouncilReady and is the controller of the personal information described here. We handle it in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect and why

• Account details (name, email, login credentials, business name and type, council): to create your account and provide the service. Basis: performing our contract with you.
• Records you add (tasks, permits, temperature logs, uploaded documents): to provide the service and its AI features. Basis: contract.
• Usage and device data (activity log, IP address, browser and device identifiers): for security, fraud prevention, fixing problems and improving the product. Basis: our legitimate interests.
• Support messages: to help you. Basis: contract and legitimate interests.
• Reminder emails: sent only if you turn them on. Basis: consent, which you can withdraw in your settings.

Who we share it with

• Service providers who host our app and database, send emails and run AI processing for us.
• Paddle, our Merchant of Record, for the sale of the product, subscription management, payments, tax compliance and invoicing.
• Professional advisers such as lawyers and accountants.
• Authorities, where the law requires it.

Some providers may process data outside Australia. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to make sure it is protected to a comparable standard.

How long we keep it

We keep your information while your account is active and for up to 12 months after it closes, unless the law requires longer. After that we delete or anonymise it.

Your rights

You can ask to access or correct your personal information, ask us to delete it, or withdraw consent for optional emails. Email rusekmichael@icloud.com and we'll respond within 30 days. If you're unhappy with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).

Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, access controls and per-account data separation.

Cookies

We use only essential browser storage to keep you signed in. We don't use advertising cookies. Paddle's checkout may set its own essential cookies when you pay.
